This is why my trail name is Bonkies. And I really am the Dunning-Kruger of hikers. I vastly overestimate what I think I can do.

Well that happened. Got down to 11f overnight, which really wasn't so bad.

Until you gotta go potty. The worst part is the bargaining that goes on for long minutes about "do I really need to?" when you know deep down that you should just get it over with.

Other takeaways: frost bibs are useless for active/side sleepers. Mini Bics suuuuuck in the cold. Don't get water night before -- get it in the morning so it isn't frozen.
